Well, this list is funny and obvious at the same time. There must have been a big competition for these domains. I’ve read in an article, that in 1989 when decisions were made about bringing the www to the public, one of the “geeks” working on it tried to persuade ABC network of quickly buying the domain, because it will probably be one of the first to go. They laughed at him at first, later they had to admit he was right.
