Security is a must for all and nowadays we see Facebook caring for security of the Facebook accounts too . One of the most popular queries I get is about Change Security Question Facebook . I saw many threads on forums quoting the same question and Facebook community filled with the queries on changing the security question on Facebook . Let me answer this shortly in a Q&A form :
Once set , the security question on Facebook cannot be changed . There is no such option of ” Change Security Question of Facebook ” which used to prevail 6 months back when Facebook wasn’t that secure . The second question that arises in the mind probably would be :
Why can’t we Change the Security Question on Facebook ?
As per the Facebook Help Center, Facebook quotes the reason behind this step as :
We want to make sure that your account and the information in it stays safe, so once you set up a security question on your account there’s no way to update it. Sorry for the inconvenience.
The above lines are quoted by Facebook on Changing Security Question on Facebook.
So, basically the main motive of taking this step is to increase the Facebook security and don’t let hackers play with the security elements even if they have access to other person’s account. If you have not set a username on facebook yet or want to change username on facebook do checkout how to change your facebook username.
For those who haven’t added a Security question to the Facebook account yet, it’s highly advised to add it immediately . That’s the lifesaver if godforbidden your Facebook account gets hacked. To add one go to :
Account Setting (Top Left Tab) > Security > Security Question
How did you find this step by Facebook – Stupid or Cool ? Share this with others who haven’t set security question on facebook yet, it would be help them select a good question and take caution keeping in mind there’s no way to change security question on facebook .

I am aware why they have decided to put security questions on Facebook. However, I never knew that it is not possible to change security questions. Good thing I was able to check your site today for some new blogs. Thanks for the update.

Harsh, that is what we are trying to convey. Facebook no longer offers the option of changing the security question and the reason is mentioned in the post.
What to do if someone messed up with your security question when the account was hacked? I mean the question was not set up but someone did it instead after hacking into account. Now they track your information invisibly. Suggestions?

Hey Prince,that is a tough case. Change your email, username and password. Once, these are done hide the email in privacy settings and delete the previous email so the person who knows you're security question cannot enter the right first indentity. the only issue with this is that you can use your "username" by itself to try and log in/recover a password, too, now – which SUCKS for people like me who got first dibs on their (my) name and receive 5-10 emails DAILY about people trying to reset my password (and all emails are private on my page).
Paulina Bocanegra Yeah, the "NOT ALLOWED USERNAME CHANGE" scheme sucks too. If you're getting such mails daily, increase the security of your facebook account. I will soon write the post on the same.

There's now way to change Facebook security question. We have contacted FB support about the same and they said the same. All you can do is request them to change your security question.
Well this is kind of silly. So if you know their security question, you can just continuously access their account.
I have had my account hacked and somebody has set a password on my security question, will they be able to get into my account, I changed passwords emails etc. Secondly can you send me the address I need to request a change to my security question thanks.

Ok. In #7 you said to answer the old security question. That is the problem. I never created the question, therefore, I do not know the answer. I do not want to start new pages all over either.
